CITYVIEW CHAIR CAMPAIGN
As CityView grows we have the opportunity for more events, training, and celebrations. From Date Nights, to seminary graduations, to memorials and weddings, to high school sports banquets, to ministry training, to church planter assessments, to first responder briefings, to Bingo Night, our Greenway campus has quickly become a place where our community can gather. And each person who gathers here has a unique story that Jesus is writing and we get to be a part of that.
But, we’re running out of room. Building 2000 can only accomodate around 100 people and hosting events outside is not feasible many times of the year. Building 1000 can’t be configured for anything other than worship gatherings. And, we don’t have any other meeting spaces for a large gathering.
So, we’ve launched “Every Seat A Story,” CityView’s chair campaign. We’re going replace the pews in Building 1000 with chairs. Doing this will allow us to reconfigure Building 1000 for more events and ministry training. This flexibility will allow us to love and have a greater impact on our community. Every seat is a story because every person who sits in one of these new chairs has a story - a story that Jesus wants to write.
How can you help?
First, please pray. Pray for each person who steps foot on the CityView campus. That they would know the love and grace of Jesus. That they would belong, believe, and become.
Second, you can partner with us and purchase a chair. Each chair costs $54. But any amount will help pay for the hundreds of chairs we need. You can give by dropping a check/cash in the offering boxes at the back of the auditorium or by clicking the link below to give online (make sure you select “Chair Campaign” from the drop down).
DEMO DAY
SUNDAY, APRIL 27
Before we install carpet and set out our new chairs, we need to pull out the old carpet and remove the pews in the auditorium … and WE NEED YOUR HELP!
After the 11:00am service on Sunday, April 27 we’re taking out the old carpet and removing the pews. We need people who will help unbolt and carry the pews and tear out and dispose of the carpet.
If you have the following tools, please bring them:
• Impact driver or drill (to remove the pew bolts)
• 3/16 or 5mm Allen driver or drill bits (size of the pew Allen bolts)
• Angle grinder (to remove the pew floor bolts)
• Carpet removal tools
We’ll have lunch ready for you as well.
EVERY SEAT A STORY DAY
SATURDAY, MAY 3
Finally, join us on Saturday morning, May 3 as we set up and pray over the chairs. We’ll have the opportunity to write out a prayer, the name of someone we’ve been praying for, or a favorite bible verse and attach it to the bottom of the chair. We’ll set up the chairs in our new seating configuration. And, we’ll pray over the chairs and those who will be sitting in them for years to come. After we’ll have lunch together.
You can get more info and sign up below.
Our first service with the new chairs will be on Sunday, May 4.
